HELLO

Isaura Izquierdo (b. 1987, Mexico City) is a visual artist whose work explores the interconnectedness of nature, consciousness, and collective memory. Drawing inspiration from spiritual traditions, evolutionary theory, and poetic storytelling, Izquierdo’s work serves as a bridge between ancient wisdom and contemporary existence.

She studied illustration at the Academy of San Carlos (UNAM) in 2012, completed the Series Program at CCA San Francisco in 2015, and holds a diploma in Contemporary Art Studies from UNAM. She also has foundational training in Expressive Arts Education, which informs her integrative approach to teaching. Her work has been commissioned by organizations such as UN Women, Spotlight Initiative, and Mexico's Ministry of Energy. In 2018, she was selected to paint a mural in Mexico City’s Roma-Condesa district as part of Nescafé’s campaign to bring hope after the 2017 earthquake. The following year, she won first prize in the Art al Vent tapestry contest at the Cervantino International Festival.
